A gentle orientation for women in the midst of becoming
If the life you built no longer fits —if something inside you is shifting, softening, or asking for more — you’re not lost.
You may be standing at a threshold.
At the Threshold is a short, reflective piece for women in transition. It’s not a workbook or a how-to guide — it’s a soft place to land.
HOW THIS CAN HELP
Language for what you may be feeling but haven’t been able to name
A reframe of midlife change as initiation, not failure
Reassurance that uncertainty isn’t something to fix
Permission to slow down, listen, and trust your timing
Elaine Blais is an author, spiritual life coach for midlife women, and the creator of The Sourdough Project. She guides women through midlife transitions, spiritual awakening, and personal reinvention so they can reconnect with who they truly are, trust themselves deeply, and lead their lives from a place of inner authority. With more than two decades of personal transformation behind her, Elaine’s work is grounded in lived experience rather than theory. She believes midlife is not a crisis, but an initiation — an invitation for women to release outdated identities, rediscover their inner wisdom, and step into a new chapter of purpose and self-leadership. Elaine’s own path has been one of continual reinvention. From leaving a corporate career and earning a college degree in her 50s to embracing creative pursuits, traveling the country in an RV, and living on a boat, she has repeatedly followed the call to begin again. Today, she brings those experiences into her work, walking alongside women who are ready to trust themselves, embrace meaningful change, and create lives that feel deeply aligned with who they have become.
